You'll need a translator, as Dr. Yamaguchi does speak some English, but all administrative work will be done in Japanese.
To start the process, follow the steps on their website:
- Download their app.
- Schedule a consultation appointment (can be online)
- Ask your questions, and the doctor will ask his. He may even show you some slides of the procedure.
Wait time is approximately 3 months. You will need to call the hospital to schedule your surgery and pay 10% of the fee. They accept credit card or bank transfer (preferred).
Once you're scheduled, you'll need to go in one month beforehand for:
- Chest X-Ray
- Blood Tests
- Heart Test
- Blood Drawn (the doctor will take blood to use during the surgery if needed)
- The doctor will also most likely check things out
You'll then stay one night in the hospital after the surgery, and then in a hotel for about 3 weeks.
For some reason, the doctor said to be under 65 kg for the surgery. If you're over, you'll have to ask him why.
