Today I attempted to start taking HRT via injections. Via mtf.wiki, I was able to find local clinics, since the last one was too expensive for me.
When I arrived, they had me scan my My Number Card, probably to find my medical record or maybe for billing. I honestly didn’t understand the nurse.
I then filled out the new patient form. Luckily I had a screenshot from the digital one I filled out earlier but forgot to print.
The nurse asked me some more questions, but as I still don’t understand a lot of Japanese, I just showed my two referral letters from America.
She asked about surgery (since one of the letters is about that). Just hormones today.
Now to wait for the doctor to review the forms and hopefully I’ll get my first injection today. I don’t know how much I’ll get though, since the dosage measurements are different than what the pills use.
MTF Wiki (about two years ago) said that 10ml costs around ¥860, but that could’ve easily changed. I’m hoping that’s still the price. 🤞

Spoke with the doctor to confirm what I wanted and we’re starting with a single amp, or 10ml injection. I’ll return in two weeks as well.
Train ride: ¥210
Doctor visit: ¥880
10 mg injection: ¥560 (not covered by insurance)
