I’ve been in contact with some hospitals in regard to getting SRS. I looked into 4 in Thailand and 4 here in Japan.
Here’s the response from the Nagmo Clinic Nagoya.
How much is it?
- Transplant method 1,556,500yen (tax included) [referring to penile inversion]
- S-shaped colon method 2,530,000yen (tax included)
How long is the waiting list for having surgery?
- It changes depending on the procedure.
Will the National Insurance cover the costs?
- All the surgery at the hospital is at your own expense.
What's the estimated hospitalization time?
- You will not be admitted to the hospital but will stay at a nearby hotel.
- The stay is about two to four weeks, but it may be longer depending on the progress after surgery.
Need an introduction from a local doctor? I already have two from American doctors.
- It will be the judgment of the doctor, so please consult us once.
If you are consulting about surgery, please visit our hospital or make an appointment for online consultation. We only speak Japanese, so please be sure to bring an interpreter with you when you visit the clinic.
Not the clearest of emails...but at least I have know that I’ll need to research a hotel for recovery.
